I recently had the amazing opportunity to take part in an international internship in Tel Aviv, Israel. Working for a prestigious company, I gained valuable experience on complex projects and gained insight into a new and different business environment. The work itself was stimulating and challenging, allowing me to hone my skills while pushing me out of my comfort zone. The mentors I had at the company were great; always providing feedback and guidance so I could better understand the industry. On top of this, the working environment was positive and inspiring, giving me the motivation I needed to stay productive and committed to my role. In addition to gaining international experience at this internship, I also got to take full advantage of the exciting cultural opportunities available in Israel.
During my free time I took part in various activities such as visiting nearby cities like Jerusalem, hiking in the Golan Heights, sampling traditional food from street vendors and most of all surfing on some of Israel’s incredible beaches. This internship provided me with many great experiences that I will treasure for a long time; learning about the unique business culture in Israel as well as exploring its rich culture during my free time. It gave me a greater appreciation for what international internships have to offer; helping shape my skillset and giving me priceless memories that I will always carry with me.
